    • Synopsis
    • On December 31, 1999, the United States finally returned the Canal to Panama, fulfilling the Torrijos-Carter Agreements. Behind the signing of the Agreements, there was a complex game of international diplomacy and intrigue led by General Omar Torrijos Herrera, which lasted for more than 14 years until its signing in 1977. This is the story of the negotiations.
