- Synopsis
- Deported from the United States and stripped of everything that once gave her life direction, Julia refuses to accept defeat. Haunted by the daughter she left behind, she embarks on the perilous overland journey through Mexico, determined to cross back into the North no matter the cost.
  
  Along the way, she meets Benoît, a Haitian-American man traveling with a little girl under circumstances he does not fully explain. As they move through deserts, rivers, safe houses, and territories ruled by fea
