    • Synopsis
    • Panay, who worked in Taipei and far away from home, can only meet her father and children after quite a long time.

      One day, she has to come back home for taking care of her father who is sick, and she finds the tribe has changed. The invasion of sightseeing buses and tourists has damaged the tribe’s original simplicity and tranquility. What’s worse, the little kids’ values here have been distorted.

      In order to arouse the tribe people’s affection to the land, Panay’s father persistently goes into the mountains alone to fix the dam for irrigating the land, trying to bring the land left uncultivated for many years back to life.

      Watching her father’s life fading away little by little, Panay decides to help him achieve his wish. She gives up her job in Taipei, picks up the hoe, and lets her feet step on the homeland again.

      However, the real test has only just begun. Panay tells herself and her children: whatever happens, never give up and never forget our true identity. We are Pangcah, and all of us are children of the Sun...
