- Synopsis
- In 'Her Lover,' a family grapples with the legacy of choices made by Sarah, a mother who sought more from life than her 1970s American family offered. Her affair with Cecil, a younger man, and her subsequent suicide leave her daughters, Sandy and Jen, and her husband, Lem, in a world of hidden truths and unspoken pain. As Sandy confronts her own memories and dreams, she uncovers the complex web of love, desire, and regret that bound her mother. Cecil's return forces the family to face the past and the secrets that have shaped their lives. Sandy's journey through her mother's letters and her own dreams leads her to question the nature of love and the weight of family legacy. As the family comes together, they must decide whether to let the past define them or to forge new paths in search of their own identities. 'Her Lover' is a tale of love's enduring impact and the power of choice in shaping our destinies.

- Production schedule
- The following five stages will commence once financing is in place:
  (i). Development and Casting: Her Lover feature LLC will guarantee the attachment of at least one bankable star-name actors within budget to play the leading role of SARAH. Additionally, we are going to guarantee a working actor, who will possibly be a second bankable name to play CECIL. The top celebrities we are targeting are listed at the end of this business plan in section 13. Additional stars who have sales value may be ap- proached for other major roles as well, but we cannot be guaranteed more than the two names to ensure staying on budget.
  2-3 Months; Depends on how fast we receive responses from the star-name actors.
  (ii). Pre-Production: Her Lover feature LLC will lock filming dates, revise and finalize the shooting schedule, hire all crew, scout and reserve locations, sign all contracts, complete product and endorsement sponsors, buy insurance, acquire all necessary permits, secure camera and lighting packages, secure ancillary equipment, de- sign and provide any sets, props, costumes, and perform all other production planning tasks.
  3 Months; simultaneously with (i).
  (iii). Production: Her Lover feature LLC will oversee the 12 days of filming to ensure everything is running smoothly and the production team is executing the game plan as expected.
  12 days of filming.
  (iv). Post-Production: First and foremost, our hired editor will use the best takes and assemble the entire film. The edited movie will then be color corrected, while a composer creates an original musical score. After that, a professional sound designer will record ADR (Additional Dialogue Replacement: the re-recording of actor’s voices as needed). After ADR, the sound designer will move onto Foley (the reproduction of everyday sounds). After Foley comes SFX (sound effects). And lastly, the sound designer will make a Final 5.1 Sound Mix and an M&E track for foreign sales before completing the film for distribution.
  6 months.
  (v). Publicity and Marketing: Throughout production, post-production, and even after the film is complete, Her Lover feature LLC will work with a publicist to generate buzz, obtain free press, and create the film’s marketing tools. Marketing materials will include a trailer, a poster, and an EPK (electronic press kit), which will be up-dated in production to include on-set stills, behind-the-scenes photos, and additional artwork. The graphic designer will also update the film’s website with the latest materials as they are available.
  While finalizing post-production, marketing, and publicity, Her Lover feature LLC will also be submitting the film to all relevant film festivals, as explained in the next section of this business plan.
  Creating the marketing materials and publicity plan with a publicist takes about one month. However, there is no real way of predicting how long it will take to secure our World Premiere or our industry screening for distributors. This depends on the timeline for the completion of the film and/or on the dates of the next top-tier film festival.
