his prima ballerina wife, Imogen, Susan, a powerful dance critic and, Wolfgang the city’s Minister
of Culture who wants to shut down the company. Knowing that the new ballet must succeed in
order for the company to survive, Teufel removes his lead ballerina, Anja who is crushed when he
promotes her rival and his new paramour, Florence. When Anja doesn’t appear for the show in
which she still has an important solo to perform, Miki realizes that she is in trouble. Teufel
reluctantly agrees to let Miki leave the theater to find Anya, but insists that Miki must dance the
solo in the 3rd act which she agrees to, in spite of not having danced in public in 10 years.
Enlisting the help of an ex-boxer cab driver, Mo, Anya races to Anya’s apartment finding her
overdosed on sleeping pills and about to throw herself off her balcony, which Mo and Miki stop in

and before she takes the stage, Miki publishes the photos of Sebastian’s abuse to a group chat

success, and as the ballet comes to an close, it is clear that the company will survive. However,
Sebastian is furious that Miki has exposed him, and confronts her outside the theater, and, just as
he is about to hit her, he is knocked out by Mo. Dazed, Miki is pulled back inside by her dancers,
and takes the curtain call as the company’s new director.
