- Derek. Spanning the swinging rhythm of England in the 60's through the neo-repression of the 80's, this engrossing film, starring Academy Award Winner Tilda Swinton and directed by famed artist Isaac Julien, explores the life and circle of iconoclastic filmmaker and artist Derek Jarman. The film premiered recently at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and was an official selection for the 2008 Berlin Film Festival.
