    • Synopsis
    • n a post-pandemic Detroit, emptied and divided during the Trump-Biden election, two undocumented Latino immigrants stumble upon a murder and, on impulse, rescue the only witness: an American woman with a rare syndrome that compromises her social skills and gives her childlike perception, capable of seeing what no one else can.

Now, this unlikely trio embarks on a journey in search of escape and a new beginning, crossing a city full of ruins, secrets, and false reconstructions. But nothing—not the city, not the crime, not even themselves—is what it seems to be.

Almost Desert is a thriller that flirts with the absurd, a twisted noir about displacement, irony, and the desire to belong amid collapse.
