TALLINN BLACK NIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL
Description
Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), founded in 1997, is one of Northern Europe’s largest film festivals. Alongside Industry @ Tallinn & Baltic Event and sub-festivals Just Film and PÖFF Shorts, it serves as a key regional industry platform. Accredited as an A-list festival by FIAPF, PÖFF annually showcases about 250 feature films and 300 shorts, welcoming nearly 2,000 guests and attracting over 90,000 visits each year.
Objective
Promoting author cinema, supporting film industry development and visibility of smaller countries, developing co-production in the Baltic Sea region, promoting series industry development with TV Beats, supporting green production practices, growing into a year-round hybrid cultural institution, developing film education in schools, improving training for up-and-coming film professionals.
