Founded in 2012 in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Saidam Baryl LLC is one of the leading independent production companies from the Far North. The studio produces feature films rooted in Yakutian culture, nature, and storytelling traditions, bringing the Arctic spirit to a global audience.Led by director and producer Stepan Burnashev, Saidam Baryl has created more than fifteen films recognized at international festivals such as Warsaw IFF, Busan etc.
Objective
The company’s mission is to build creative bridges between indigenous cinema and world culture — sharing stories of human connection, resilience, and the poetry of everyday life under the northern sky.
