NORTHERN FILM FESTIVAL LEEUWARDEN / NOORDELIJK FILM FESTIVAL
Description
Every year the Noordelijk Film Festival takes place in early November in Leeuwarden (NL). It is one of the oldest and largest regional film festivals in The Netherlands, rooted in the northern province of Friesland. Its main section Noordse Focus presents films from a broad Northern Europe (Nordics, Baltics, Ireland, UK); smaller program lines are Spotlight, Memmetaal (films in small languages), Sounds & Cinema, NL Eigenzinnig, the Noorderkroon competition and a 4-day Talent & Industry program.
Objective
We are currently programming the 46th edition of the Noordelijk Film Festival (NoFF), which will take place from 4-8 November 2026. We present 100+ film screenings, masterclasses, talks, panels and special events in five days, in multiple venues in the city centre of Leeuwarden. We cooperate with various (inter)national film-, cultural-, education- and social organizations and festivals, connecting both established and upcoming (inter)national filmmakers with our audience and each other.
