Makarand Deshpande, a veteran Indian actor, writer, and director, founded MAK World Films. With 35+ years in cinema across languages, he debuted in Hollywood with Monkey Man. A prolific theatre artist, he has written, directed, and performed 60+ plays. His film Danav was selected at Directors’ Fortnight Cannes. His second production, The Prayer, has just begun its festival run.
