GIJON INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - FICX

Description

The 64th FICX-Gijon Int'l Film Festival will be held 13-21 Nov. 2026 featuring a an exciting and thorough selection of the most personal views of contemporary cinema, focusing on daring proposals and upcoming talents. Competitive for features, shorts and nonfiction works, another highlight is the Enfants Terribles section, featuring quality films, Q&As, and film literacy activities for kids and teenagers. 2026 will see also the 10th. edition of our programme for Industry professionals (FICXPro).

Objective

Support the visibility of national and international quality filmmaking, and become a useful global forum for film professionals. Keep expanding the collaboration with International, European and Spanish Institutions. Widen its educational programmes and complementary activities in order to create new audiences, with a primary focus on young spectators. Help further circulation of all films selected, and prioritize their acquisition for theatrical release in Spain.
