Description
the Festival du Film Merveilleux, is an international film festival that celebrates magic and fantasy while promoting cultural exchange and global cooperation. The festival has organized screenings at French Institutes, Alliance Française locations worldwide, and with foreign partner festivals, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and strengthening international ties. The festival is held in Paris. It was first launched in 2010 and has been under the patronage of UNESCO.
Objective
The Festival du Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire builds international cultural connections through strategic partnerships at the Cannes Film Market, drawing on a worldwide screening network to forge new collaborations that celebrate fantasy cinema as a universal language for cross-cultural dialogue. Since 2010, the festival has selected short films from over 41 countries across 5 continents.
