BRASILIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL / BIFF
Description
BIFF - Brasilia International Film Festival was conceived based on the experiences in Sweden of curator Anna Karina de Carvalho, and stands out as an important space for promoting new talent in cinema, offering a platform for emerging directors who are gaining recognition both in Brazil and abroad. Since its creation in 2012, BIFF has screened more than 500 films, across all genres, that otherwise would not have made it to movie theaters.
Objective
BIFF has established itself as a strategic platform that goes beyond the traditional concept of a film festival. In addition to being one of the pioneers in the world to migrate to an online format shortly after the March 2020 lockdown, the idea of becoming a traveling event after its edition in Brasília has grown stronger and more essential in order to bring quality films to people who love experiencing cinema in a theater setting, engaging in discussions about films and socializing.
